The Evil of telecom mergers

This article from networkWorld:What telecom mergers really mean | NetworkWorld.com Community has a horribly unsettling essay from a telecom manager about some of the problems she's encountered trying to order services for the large publisher she works for (wolters kluwer). It's really a scary look at the current state of things, and these problems aren't limited to the US, working with telcos rolling eachother up, I've encountered them the whole world over ( Italy, Australia, Germany, Spain, etc.) This definitely isn't getting better
